ARTIST / Ophelia Jones

A series of original archival paintings by artist Ophelia Jones, framed within vintage frames sourced across Northland, New Zealand. This collaboration came together through friendship, Ophelia is a treasured friend whose work has long inspired me. 

A painter, writer, photographer & much more, her practice moves fluidly between mediums, tracing the subtleties of the natural world with rare sensitivity. Each painting finds its counterpart in a found frame / a quiet pairing of form and feeling.

The first five works released as part of this series, Under the Moon & Sun(flowers), mark the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between Ophelia & AWAYDAY.
