Dordogne Dining Chairs (Pair) / Attributed to Charlotte Perriand

A sculptural pair of Dordogne dining chairs, attributed to Charlotte Perriand, featuring solid timber frames with woven rush seats and backs. The design is defined by its simplicity, materiality, and quietly architectural form.

These chairs reflect the understated strength of mid-century French design, with warm timber tones and natural fibre adding texture and depth. Well suited to dining, desk seating, or as standalone accent pieces.

Sourced via Katie Lockhart Studio in 2022, originally from a Melbourne-based dealer.

(Handmade, slight variation expected)

MATERIALS & COLOUR / Solid wood frame with woven rush / seagrass seat and back

CONDITION / Vintage condition with wear consistent with age, including scuffs to the timber and variation and pulling in the rush/seagrass. Most notably, one seat has a small pen mark to the rush (see images). Crack in on leg cap that’s been glued & left residue. All notable imperfections are reflected in the images. Structurally sound.
