Vintage Mid-Century Daybed

A beautiful minimal daybed. Would be great in a spare room or office, works well as a sofa too with a nice build up of cushions. 

Built in Germany in the 1960s by a home craftsman and acquired by us directly from his grandson. Clean, rectilinear form in a rich rosewood-toned veneer, low to the ground. The minimalist silhouette echoes the furniture language of Donald Judd.

MEASUREMENTS W 2000mm, D 1000mm. Fits a 100 × 200cm mattress.

MATERIALS & COLOUR Rosewood-toned veneer over an MDF core, possibly mahogany or walnut base timber. Rich, warm brown.

CONDITION Good vintage condition. Some scratching and fading consistent with age. Veneer generally in good condition. Fitted with an original Flexomat slatted flexi base (TÜV GS certified) which lifts on one side for easy access. The base handle is broken but the mechanism functions well. Frame breaks down and reassembles. Mattress not included fits a long single)
